Dual Language Immersion

Golden View blends environmental science with civic learning, offering students hands-on experiences that build both knowledge and character. On the school’s 2.5-acre farm, students garden, compost, and care for animals—developing responsibility and a deep connection to the natural world.

Golden View’s highly-trained teachers possess their bilingual teaching credential and prepare students to become bilingual, bi-literate, and bi-cultural.

Golden View students have an opportunity to earn the Biliteracy Program Participation Recognition award from the Orange County Department of Education in second and fifth grades.

Mrs. Rodriguez

Mrs. Rodriguez is a proud educator whose family’s rich Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage deeply influences her belief in the power of culture, language, and family. With over 20 years of teaching experience she is committed to fostering growth, curiosity, and creativity in every student she serves. Throughout her career, Mrs. Rodriguez has taught at Pleasant View, Star View, Lake View, Virtual Academy, and Golden View schools. She has had the privilege of teaching every grade from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade, bringing both breadth and depth of experience to her classroom. Her work is grounded in the belief that every child deserves opportunities to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mrs. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a General Education Multiple Subject Credential (K–8), and an Early Childhood Education Director’s Permit from the state of California. She also earned a Master of Science in Educational Technology, which equips her with the skills to meaningfully integrate technology into instruction and prepare students for success in a digital world. In addition, she is STEAM trained, GATE certified, and a proud Cotsen Fellow in Environmental Science and Agriculture.

Fluent in four languages and holding a Spanish Bilingual Authorization, she embraces innovation, inclusivity, and lifelong learning as the guiding principles of her teaching practice. Mrs. Rodriguez works to create engaging, supportive, and culturally rich classroom environments where students feel empowered to explore, question, and grow.
